Riboflavin (vitamin B2) is a group B vitamin. It is soluble in water and ethanol. It actively participates in metabolic processes, the formation of antibodies, skin cells, as well as red blood cells.

Riboflavin has a very important and multiple role. It enters the constitution of dehydrogenases such as FMN and FAD, contributing to oxidation reduction reactions. It stimulates the growth of young organisms and participates alongside vitamin A in the process of vision. It is believed that riboflavin converts short-wavelength radiation into high-wavelength radiations, which thus become perceptible.

According to EU Regulation 1169 RDA which is ethical on food products is 1.4mg riboflavin per day.
